Stars gedenken der Opfer von 9/11

Vor zehn Jahren mussten fast 3000 Menschen ihr Leben lassen, nachdem Terroristen vier Flugzeuge entführten und unendliches Leid über Amerika brachten.

9/11 - Dieses Datum wurde für immer in die Köpfe der Menschen eingebrannt. Gestern fanden sowohl in New York, wie auch in Washington DC und Shanksville sehr bewegende Gedenkfeiern statt, die auch die Stars nicht kalt ließen.

Mit Hilfe von Twitter teilten sie der Welt mit, dass auch sie diesen schrecklichen Tag niemals vergessen werden und die Opfer und deren Familien immer noch in ihren Herzen tragen:

"Ich betrat das Dach meines Gebäudes in West Village und sah das World Trade Center mit einem riesigen Loch darin. Ich fiel auf meine Knie. Ich ging nach unten, rannte zu einer Bank in der Christopher Street und bezog all mein Geld und rannte zum Supermarkt. Ich war in einem Hurrikan-Überlebens-Modus - ich stamme aus Südflorida. Ich dachte, es wäre das Ende der Welt.» Die Zeit nach den Anschlägen beschreibt Perez wie folgt: «In New York zu sein war verrückt. Du wurdest noch Jahre später jeden Tag daran erinnert. Aber woran ich mich am besten erinnere ist der Gestank in der Luft. Sogar sechs Monate nach dem World-Trade-Center-Desaster stank die Stadt, wenn es regnete."
